That sure was an announcement, wasn't it? Of course, that's not the least of your problems, when it comes down to it. On Monday, there seems to be a mysterious figure that appears in the chatroom; their avatar seems to be glitched out and unrecognizable to the point where they look like complete static, head to toe. But soon enough, they send out a message for everyone to see. For those using voice, the voice seems to be monotone and completely unrecognizable as either male or female.

Can anybody see this post? I need to tell you guys something, ASAP!

That's so. You have no control over what others think. Caution is easier preached than practiced besides.

I would imagine that anyone's personal abilities would be considered valuable to them.

[He has no plans of actually describing them, because despite his warning he doesn't trust people to try nabbing any that may show up.]

Normally, that would be true. It would be a burdensome ability indeed that someone didn't want returned to them.

How we use them in this situation is different, though. Would wait as long as it takes to get everything back? Many may die.

It isn't a matter of supposed to or not. I already know that it isn't.

You just don't strike me as the patient type.

This is not a situation that one can simply brute force their way through. Observation is going to be key if we are to get through this in any sort of efficient way.

[He's not even sure why he said "we" there, but he does mean what he said for the rest of it.]

I couldn't agree more. The powerless especially can't hope to go toe-to-toe with the powerful without knowing what awaits them. Most of us aren't used to being powerless. It's a terrible fate. [Or is it?]

I just believe that observation that doesn't form action is wasted.

I don't recall any statement that implied a course of action wouldn't be sought out. I assumed it was rather obvious that observation should ideally bear results.
