This partnership usually has to be voluntary, since wild Pokemon that want partners will look for people to battle. Sometimes there are misunderstandings, but these can be talked through! Humans and Pokemon work together on all sorts of tasks, especially ones that are too dangerous for humans alone! Many people become Pokemon trainers, seeking to battle the various gyms of a region and raise the best possible Pokemon team they can! But even those who aren't Trainers often have at least one Pokemon in their lives, to help with little things as well!
